Mission Statement
I’ve always found enjoyment in challenges. I often find myself looking for the ceiling, finding my limits so that I can one day exceed them.
Coming out of high school in my hometown of Ljubljana, Slovenia, I stepped out of my comfort zone, and enrolled in a foreign university. While I initially stumbled over the challenges of a language barrier, I soon found myself no longer settling for simple understanding, but pushing for academic excellence. Alongside academics, my passion for swimming, allowed me to compete at the highest levels, eventually culminating in competing at the 2016 Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

While it may seem that my efforts are focused on achieving specific personal goals, it is in fact helping others that brings me joy in life. I set out to pursue a career in dentistry, as what I truly wish in life is to help others, aid in improving public oral health, and solve individual patient needs. I simply believe that I owe it to my patients to educate myself on the highest level possible. I don’t just want to be a dentist; I want to be a great dentist.
There is a saying in Slovenia that reads “Lepa beseda lepo mesto najde”, which translates to “politeness costs little, but yields plenty.” While my journey from home to the United States has taught me that hard work and perseverance is the key to success, I have found that it is the words of my hometown that have carried me the farthest.
My goals and philosophy
I believe that everything in dentistry is important. I like the endless pursuit of doing more, trying to one up myself, and deliver the best patient care.

I am not a fan of the corporate trend dentistry has been heading towards in the last couple of years. My goal is to work with colleagues and laboratory technicians I have personal relationships with and can attest to their commitment to quality work.
I strive to use time-tested techniques and good materials, rather than being focused on cutting steps and overhead. I find that the cost of messy dentistry and lab work is too high of a cost to pay in wasted time, frustration and lost patient rapport. I am proud of my work and excited about the opportunities where I get to exercise it to fullest extent.

Lastly, I believe in positive patient encounters that leave both parties feeling good. I place a big emphasis on patient communication and management of expectations.

Where is Slovenia?
Slovenia is nestled in the heart of Europe, bordering Italy, Austria and Croatia. It is most famous for its natural beauty, such as the Alps, green rivers, and beautiful lakes, including the iconic Lake Bled with its island church. The cities are a blend of historic medieval charm with modern twist. If you have a passion for outdoor adventures, or like fine dining restaurants inside castles, Slovenia should be on your travel list. Slovenia's culinary scene is a fusion of Central European and Mediterranean flavors.

I was born and raised in Slovenia and moved to the states for college at the age of 18. The rest of my family still lives there and I tend to visit them every year. In the meantime, I'm sure to give them a call at least once a week. While I have no plans to move back, I love traveling there and being a tourist in my own country. Some of my favorite things about it are its tranquility, safety and natural beauty.
